"Holy Warriors"
Inspired by the ancient traditions of the Russian army, Vladimir Mikhailov created a special collection of icons united by a common allegorical form – a shield. This symbol was chosen for a reason: since ancient times, the shield has represented reliable protection, loyalty to duty and a willingness to stand up for the truth to the end. Each icon in the collection is dedicated to a saint whose life has become an example of supreme courage and unshakable faith.
The obverse depicts images of the holy defenders of the Fatherland in traditional iconography. On the reverse side is placed the Cross of the Lord against the background of the Jerusalem wall, surrounded by the instruments of the Passion of Christ.
The collection "Holy Warriors" is a visible evidence of faith, courage and honor. Each icon is handmade in the ancient Novgorod technique of fine plastic, with attention to the smallest details: from the stamping of armor to the fine knitting of prayer words.
