The Angel of the Great Council

This icon depicts Jesus Christ in the form of an Archangel with a scepter and a power against the background of a cross, in the upper area of which you can see the image of the Savior Not Made with Hands. This symbolic image is called the Angel of the Great Council in honor of the eternal council, at which the Lord, in the person of the Holy Trinity, predestined the creation of the world, the Incarnation and the Redemptive Sacrifice of God the Son. On the reverse side of the icon is the prayer "May God Rise Again."
