Holy Patriarch Tikhon the Confessor and Tsar Nicholas the Passion-Bearer

Before the Crucifixion of Christ are two holy images: the supreme secular new Martyr Nicholas II and the supreme ecclesiastical new Martyr Patriarch Tikhon. Above the Saints who suffered during the revolutionary troubles stands the Golgotha Cross with two Angels carrying the Instruments of Christ's Passion in their hands: a crown of thorns, a spear and a sponge. On the reverse side and the end of the icon there are words of prayer decorated with magnificent ornaments.
