Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Tsarina Elena

The icon, similar in outline to the gates of the Temple of the Lord, intertwined with a vine, contains the image of the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Queen Elena, who raises the Life-giving Cross of the Lord in her right hand. During her lifetime, Saint Helena was famous for the great feat of acquiring the Life-giving Cross of Christ, having made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
