St. Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg

The delicate miniature of jewelry plastic is reflected in this icon depicting a Guardian Angel with open wings. The Angel holds an eight—pointed Orthodox cross and a round medallion with the image of St. Xenia of St. Petersburg. Blessed Xenia, having undertaken the great feat of foolishness for Christ's sake, is one of the most revered Russian saints. On the reverse side of the icon, among the openwork ornaments, are placed the words of the prayer of Blessed Xenia.
