The miraculous image of the Most Holy Theotokos "Vladimirskaya" is enclosed in a patterned arched frame. According to legend, the Evangelist Luke painted such an iconographic image called "Tenderness" - where the Face of the Infant touches the Face of the Virgin. This is one of the most revered images of the Russian Church, known for numerous miracles. The reverse side of the icon depicts the Golgotha Cross, repeating the ancient iconography.
