The Image of the Most Holy Theotokos "Iverskaya"

A small oval medallion depicts the image of one of the most ancient icons of the Mother of God of the Iberian Mother of God. The icon has been known since the 11th century and is located in the Iversky Monastery on St. Athos, after which the image is named. The Mother of God holds the blessing baby Jesus in her left hand, pointing to the Savior with her right hand. The icon is complemented by a delicate twisted decoration at the top and miniature petals around the Holy Image. The reverse side depicts the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
