The Great Martyr Panteleimon the Healer

The icon, which resembles an open flower, features the image of the Great Martyr and healer Panteleimon. In the saint's right hand is a medicinal spoon, and on his left hand is a medicine chest. During his lifetime, Saint Panteleimon was a skilled physician and court physician to the emperor. And, having received holy baptism, he received from God the gift of healing, through the calling of the name of Christ. The opening words of the prayer to the saint are written on the back of the icon.
