Product description
Saint Catherine is crowned with a royal crown by two Angels on an icon in the shape of a temple niche. In her hands are a sword and a wheel with spikes – symbols of a saint who was martyred in the 4th century for Christian teaching. The saint from the royal family, who possessed rare beauty and wisdom, wishing to be betrothed only to someone who surpassed her in wealth and wisdom and by the elder's parting words, joined Christ, becoming his Heavenly Bride and a preacher of Christianity. On the reverse side of the icon are the words of the saint's prayer.

Silver is one of the most ancient metals known to man. Its white luster, plasticity, and ability to take any shape have made it a favorite jeweler's material for thousands of years. However, pure silver is too soft to create durable jewelry, so it has been used as alloys since ancient times.
