Product description
The unique piece of jewelry, combining the image of the Crucifixion with the icon of the Virgin "Softening of Evil Hearts", embodies the harmony of spiritual symbolism and jewelry art. On the front side of the pendant, the Crucifixion of Christ is depicted with majestic simplicity — the central symbol of the Christian faith, which is covered by the prayer words "Lord have mercy." The icon of the Virgin "Softening of evil Hearts" is depicted on the inside of the product. The face of the Most Holy Theotokos is surrounded by seven arrows piercing her heart and symbolizing the sorrows and sufferings that the Mother of God endured after becoming the Mother of the Savior. Her gaze is full of deep sadness, but at the same time radiates gentleness, spiritual strength and boundless mercy addressed to all mankind. The ornament surrounding the face of the Virgin serves as a symbolic expression of the heavenly radiance. The details of the ornament are finely crafted, creating a sense of flickering light emanating from the image. The background is slightly deepened, which emphasizes the relief of the image and highlights the key elements of the icon. The composition, executed in strict accordance with the canons of Orthodox art, reminds its wearer of the protection that the main protector of the human race gives, both during our lifetime and after it. A dove, a symbol of the Holy Spirit, is depicted on the ear of the product, and the inscription "Mother of God", made in the Byzantine tradition, is inscribed on the opposite side. The troparion of the Mother of God is engraved around the perimeter of the icon, which reads: "Soften our evil hearts, O Mother of God, and quench the misfortunes of those who hate us, and resolve every tightness of our soul." These words turn the decoration into an eternal reminder of the protection of the Virgin and her intercession before the Lord.
