Product description
The Jerusalem icon of the Mother of God, according to legend, was painted in the 15th year after the Ascension of the Lord in Gethsemane and was the first of all the images of the Virgin created by St. Luke the Evangelist. In the icon, Christ is facing the Mother of God and holds a scroll with his left hand, while with his right hand he blesses with a double—fold addition. The reverse side of the product is dedicated to the two-hundredth feast of the Dormition of the Virgin, where the image of the feast is reproduced according to ancient iconography.
