This collection combines two ancient traditions associated with the most important event in a child's life – the Sacrament of Baptism.
The cross, presented in the Sacrament of Baptism, becomes the first personal shrine that parents or godparents choose carefully and prayerfully. A spoon presented for the first tooth represents a new stage in the development of the baby and his introduction to an "adult" meal.
In the collection of Vladimir Mikhailov, children's crosses were created according to the canons of ancient Russian plastics, made of precious metals, with soft rounded shapes, without sharp corners. The spoons go back in shape to traditional wooden products, and their twisted cuttings are decorated with floral ornaments, miniature beads and figures of angels. All products are handmade in the ancient Novgorod technique of fine plastics, with attention to the smallest details. Such objects become not just jewelry, but family heirlooms that are carefully preserved and passed down from generation to generation, reminding of the bright moments of the beginning of life.
