Product description
This bracelet contains a short confession of the Christian faith. On the links is an allegorical symbol of Christianity, the fish, which first appeared in the second century AD. Inscribed on the symbol is the acronym ICHTHYS, composed of the first letters of the ancient Greek phrase ‘Jesus Christ, Son of God, Saviour’. The reverse side shows the words to the prayer ‘Save and protect us’. The links between them are embellished with a traditional Novgorodian motif on their obverse side, with the reverse showing an image of the cross. The bracelet’s clasp bears the letters BM, the Russian initials of the artist, Vladimir Mikhailov.
