Crucifixion with the Upcoming

The icon depicts the image of the crucifixion of Christ, flanked by the Most Holy Theotokos and John the Theologian. Christ entrusts His Mother to His beloved disciple, John, telling him: "This is your Mother," teaching her to take care of her parents. On the reverse side of the icon are the words of prayer to the Holy Cross of the Lord: "May God rise again, and His enemies be scattered, and may those who hate Him flee from His presence."
